THE XPAT JOURNAL
A serious lifestyle magazine
Since 1998, The XPat Journal ® has been the premier English-language magazine for expatriates living in the Netherlands.
The quarterly glossy magazine offers expatriates a wide choice of high-quality information. Thanks to the strong relationship with authorities, organizations and authors who specialize in providing expatriates with information, The XPat Journal guarantees the high quality of this editorial.
Editorial articles and interviews cover various subjects, such as: careers, Dutch culture, international education, expat management, housing, living in the Netherlands, legal issues, finance and taxes.
A selected quarterly art- and event diary contains an overview of most of the events and expositions of interest to the expatriate.
All these subjects are approached from the perspective of the expatriate and are directed at newcomers as well as expats who have been living in the Netherlands for some time.
Most of the contributors to The XPat Journal come from the expatriate community, which guarantees optimal communication with the readers' group.
See our section current issue for summaries of most of the articles in our Spring 2010 Issue

Testimonials
The Canadian Embassy staff have always been impressed with the in-depth quality reporting of XPat Journal on complex Dutch issues ranging from tax and legal issues to changes in the Dutch social security system that also affect expats. Moreover, the Canadians have enjoyed reading up on 'their' Terry Fox Run every year in the magazine ....
Melanie Termeulen, Canadian Embassy
The XPat Journal is an excellent source of information about a wide variety of subjects directly relevant for expats, and also for "impats" like myself! It is well documented, reliable, and a joy to read at that! Thanks to its solid and reliable journalism the XPat Journal contributes substantially to our goal, to make international residents feel at home in the Netherlands. For expats who want to make the most of their stay here - and who doesn't? - this magazine is a must!
Ron Muyzert, Ambassador for International Organizations, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
An expat writer for expats for some 25 years, I have seen many magazines and journals come and go.
I was sure from the start, however, that The XPat Journal was here to stay. Its excellent editorial staff keep it fresh and topical with useful articles on varying aspects of life here, and its photographers make it a treat for the eye. I recommend it highly.
Sheila Gazaleh-Weevers, Author Here's Holland - guide to travel and life in Holland
....just a quick email to tell you how much I enjoy your magazine, thank you. I'm an Australian engaged to a Dutch guy, do volunteer work for ACCESS, and have realised that even though I try hard to learn the language and fit in here, having support and information from an expat community is crucial. Thanks for providing a large part of that.
